There are many shortcut keys to take screenshot on windows.
Most easy and common method is press shift+window+s popup button will appear in screen as given below
In Popup menu, you will get four option
Rectangular mode
Freeform mode
Window mode
Fullscreen mode
After clicking on first option that is rectangular mode, with the help of mouse you can select the area you want to screenshot.
